Nathalie (Frost) Woods, 94, of Marblehead, wife of the late Frederick L. Woods, died November 29, 2003 at the Lafayette Convalescent Home in Marblehead.
Born and raised in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late Winfred Frost, a lieutenant commander who served aboard the USS Massachusetts during World War I, and Charlotte (Hawkes) Frost.
Mrs. Woods was a graduate of Marblehead High School and served on the board of the Marblehead Historical Society. She was a founding member of the Old Marblehead Improvement Association. She also helped draft the regulations regarding the formation of the Historic District Commission.
Mrs. Woods was an accomplished painter and sculptor. She also enjoyed gardening, needlework and her home.
She and her husband were avid sailors and were the owners of F.L. Woods Marine Supply Store.
She is survived by her nephews, Alan P.H. Waller and his wife, Christine of Marblehead and John C. Waller Jr. and his wife, Diana of Englewood, Fla.; as well as her great-nephews, Todd and Benjamin Waller of Marblehead and Darrel and Annette Waller of Englewood.
She is also survived by a cousin, Suzanne A. Brown of Rockport and her children, Nathaniel and Katharine Coleman.
The family will hold a private, graveside service. Arrangements are by the Eustis-Cornell Funeral Home of Marblehead.
